Woman rushed to Hospital with severe injuries after UTV crash in Sauk County

A UTV crash in Wisconsin on Tuesday morning left one individual hospitalized with severe injuries after being rendered unconscious.

Authorities from the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office reported a UTV rollover crash with ejection that occurred at approximately 9:15 a.m. on Coon Bluff Road, situated north of County Road P in the Town of Dellona.

Emergency personnel reached the location to discover a heavily wrecked UTV overturned on the eastern side of Coon Bluff Road. The woman behind the wheel was thrown approximately 30 yards from the point where the vehicle finally stopped, leaving her unconscious with a severe head injury.

The operator was airlifted by Med-Flight to a Madison hospital, facing life-threatening injuries. The identity remains undisclosed as the inquiry progresses.

Initial reports indicate that the woman was driving the UTV southbound on Coon Bluff Road when she tried to overtake another vehicle. A driver veered into a ditch and lost control, resulting in the UTV rolling multiple times. A woman was found without a seatbelt during the crash, with speed and operator inexperience suspected as contributing factors.

Further information remains undisclosed.
