San Bernardino County, CA – Authorities apprehended two teenage suspects involved in a carjacking after a high-speed chase in San Bernardino County.
Authorities have revealed that the suspects involved are a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old, with their identities kept confidential because of their age.
At 3:14 a.m. on June 10, deputies from the Victor Valley sheriff’s department were dispatched to a carjacking incident occurring on the 13000 Block of Cholame Road in Victorville.
The teen boys issued threats to shoot the victim before they jumped into the stolen vehicle and took off at high speed.
Authorities observed the car traveling east on Palmdale Road, approaching the 15 Freeway. In a dramatic turn of events, authorities found themselves in a high-speed chase after the teens refused to stop when signaled to pull over.
The pursuit lasted approximately 10 minutes before the suspects abandoned the vehicle and escaped on foot.
Authorities apprehended suspects near Palmdale and Sequoia Roads, charging them with carjacking, vehicle theft, failure to yield, and additional offenses. They have been taken into custody at the High Desert Juvenile Detention and Assessment Center.
