Homicide Investigation Launched after Man Found Dead in South Apopka - Sheriff's Office

South Apopka, FL – Authorities in Orange County are investigating a suspected homicide after a man was found with severe injuries early Sunday morning in South Apopka.

Deputies with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office responded around 3:30 a.m. to the area near the intersection of E. Ella J. Gilmore Street and Clarcona Road. Upon arrival, they discovered a man between the ages of 18 and 20 showing “obvious signs of trauma,” according to a statement released by the sheriff’s office.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the case is being treated as a homicide. Investigators say the probe remains in its early stages and are urging anyone with information to come forward.

As of now, no further details — including the victim’s identity or possible suspect information — have been released.
