Man Struck and Killed by 2 vehicles on Florida Turnpike in Orange County

Orange County, FL – A 30-year-old man from Hollywood, Florida, was killed Saturday night after running onto the Florida Turnpike and being struck by two vehicles, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).

The deadly incident occurred around 9 p.m. near mile marker 251, close to State Road 417 in Orange County. FHP troopers say the man ran east from a wooded area and entered the southbound lanes of the Turnpike. He was struck in the inside lane by a 2021 Toyota Highlander, followed immediately by a 2016 Chevy Silverado.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released.

According to the crash report, both drivers remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. No one else was injured in the crash.

The Florida Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
