Dodge County, WI – A 21-year-old man from Mayville, Wisconsin, died Saturday afternoon after falling from a ledge at Dodge County Ledge Park, prompting a death investigation by local authorities.

According to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to the park around 12:30 p.m. on June 14 after receiving a report that someone had “fallen off some rocks” and required immediate medical assistance.

When first responders arrived, they found the man unresponsive with a severe head injury. He was located on the side of the ledge, not breathing. A medical helicopter was called to the scene, but despite emergency efforts, the man was pronounced dead on-site.

Officials say the victim was with two other individuals at the time of the fall. The exact circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear, and authorities have not released the man’s identity pending family notification.

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the investigation is ongoing, and no further details are available at this time.

Ledge County Park is a popular hiking and scenic location in the region, known for its rocky terrain and elevated viewpoints. Deputies have not commented on whether park conditions or other factors played a role in the fatal fall.
