The Boise woman involved in a two-vehicle crash at Chinden Boulevard and Five Mile Road on Thursday afternoon has been identified by the Ada County Coroner’s Office.
Vicki Rovig, 68, tragically lost her life in a sedan accident, with the coroner’s office confirming she was pronounced dead at the scene due to multiple traumatic blunt force injuries.
At around 3:25 p.m., a collision occurred involving a truck and a sedan, prompting a response from the Boise Police Department. A sedan driver was transported to a hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening. Authorities confirmed that the occupants of the truck emerged unscathed.
According to preliminary findings, authorities in Boise suspect that the truck was moving east on Chinden Boulevard, while the sedan was going west and trying to make a left turn onto southbound Five Mile Road at the time of the collision.
