TOMAH, Wis. — A semi-truck caught fire Monday morning in the parking lot of a Kwik Trip convenience store in Tomah, prompting a swift response from local fire crews.
According to the Tomah Fire Department, emergency teams were dispatched shortly before 11:30 a.m. after receiving reports of a vehicle fire in the parking lot of the Kwik Trip.
Upon arrival, firefighters found the semi-truck fully engulfed in flames. Crews quickly initiated suppression efforts, successfully containing and extinguishing the fire before it could spread to other vehicles or structures.
Authorities confirmed that the driver of the semi-truck was inside the convenience store at the time the fire broke out and was not injured.
Thanks to the coordinated response from multiple agencies, the fire was brought under control without further incident. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
