Tragedy struck on I-74 Friday morning as a motorcycle accident resulted in a man’s death. Authorities from Green Township report that the rider collided with a guardrail and was thrown from the highway overpass.
A collision occurred at approximately 8:28 a.m. on Friday morning. Authorities reported that officers from Green Township were sent to the eastbound lanes of I-74 at Harrison Avenue following a motorcycle accident notification.
Authorities reported that 22-year-old Mason Braun, from Hamilton, was thrown from the I-74 oMotorcyclist dies after being Ejected off I-74 overpass in Green Townshipverpass and landed on Harrison Avenue.
Braun was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities reported that Braun was donning a helmet during the incident; the role of speed is currently under scrutiny as a potential contributing factor, officials stated.
I-74 east remained shut down for multiple hours after the accident.
