Victims held at Gunpoint, Robbed of Cash and Jewelry during Utah House Party

Following their armed robbery of a small group during a home party on Sunday, three guys have been taken into custody and prosecuted.

Allegations include aggravated robbery, unlawful detention, possession of a controlled substance, minor possession of an alcoholic product, and banned dangerous weapon activity against Vicente Everette Isais, 19, Brooks Eric Candelario, 18, and Gabriel Elias Cearrido, 22.

Records show that a West Jordan Police officer was called to a firearms offense in the vicinity of 1500 West Crystal Ridge Drive on June 1. A few blocks away, the officer met the three victims.

The victims informed police that a group of guys, later identified as Isais, Candelario, and Cearrido, approached them while they were at a party at the house on Crystal Ridge Drive. According to records, one man blocked the door while the others robbed the victims of their jewels and bags and pulled firearms on them.

One of the victims was robbed at gunpoint of about $2,000 in cash that was in his backpack. Additionally, the victim’s necklaces were snatched and ripped off. The victims phoned the police after fleeing the house and hiding at a friend’s house nearby.

The black Audi that the gang of men used to escape was found by a West Jordan police officer using a drone. He found the Audi and pulled it over for a moving infraction. They arrested the three individuals who were in the car.

Four loaded handguns were found in the Audi during a search, one of which had been reported stolen earlier. Alcoholic drinks, THC vape devices, and a bag that matched the stolen one’s description were also discovered inside the car.

In addition to requesting pretrial detentions, the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office asked that Isais, Candelario, and Cearrido all be held until their court appearances.
