PALM COAST, Fla. — A Palm Coast man is facing serious charges after being accused of stealing thousands of dollars from his late mother’s estate, according to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies arrested 56-year-old Thomas Frazzetto on June 18 in connection with an alleged scheme that included forging his mother’s signature on four separate checks. Authorities say Frazzetto successfully cashed three of the checks within days of her passing.
The investigation began in December 2024, roughly two months after Frazzetto’s mother died, when he allegedly attempted to cash an unauthorized check for $51,200.
Further investigation revealed a series of unauthorized financial transactions totaling over $9,000, including a $2,000 transfer via Zelle that occurred the day before Frazzetto’s mother passed away. Officials say the woman would have been incapacitated at the time and unable to authorize such a transaction.
Frazzetto was taken into custody on a Flagler County warrant for grand theft and uttering forged instruments. He has since been booked into jail.
The case remains under investigation.
