Livermore Police Arrest 3 Juveniles linked to 49 Car Break-Ins

Livermore, CA – Police have arrested three juveniles in connection with a series of nearly 50 car burglaries that took place over the course of a month in downtown Livermore, authorities announced.

According to the Livermore Police Department, the break-ins occurred between May 5 and June 3. The suspects—ages 12, 14, and 15—allegedly targeted parked vehicles during overnight hours, smashing passenger-side windows to steal items such as USB drives, battery packs, wallets, and sunglasses.

Investigators identified the suspects using surveillance footage and additional leads. Officers later served search warrants at the suspects’ homes, recovering multiple pieces of stolen property.

In total, the juveniles are believed to be responsible for 49 vehicle burglaries.

Due to the nonviolent nature of the alleged crimes, the minors were cited and released to their parents. Juvenile Hall declined to detain them, in accordance with policy on nonviolent offenses.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and encourage any residents with information to contact the Livermore Police Department.
