Summer Heat arrives Denver Metro eyes first 90° Day this Weekend

Denver, CO — After a cool and rainy start to the season, it’s finally beginning to feel like summer across Colorado. Warm, dry air is moving in, bringing sunshine, rising temperatures, and even the chance for Denver’s first 90-degree day of the year.

Overnight Monday into Tuesday will be mostly clear, with temperatures dipping into the low to mid-50s along the I-25 corridor and cooler 40s expected in the foothills.

Tuesday will kick off with plenty of sunshine and rising temps, with highs soaring into the upper 80s and low 90s across the Denver metro area. Clouds will begin to build in the afternoon, and a few isolated showers may develop over the foothills.

Looking ahead to midweek, scattered afternoon thunderstorms are possible Wednesday and Thursday, though they appear to be isolated in nature. Despite the storm threat, daytime highs will remain steady in the mid to upper 80s through Friday.

Just in time for Father’s Day weekend, the heat will intensify. Saturday could mark Denver’s first 90-plus degree day of 2025, and the sizzling temperatures are expected to persist into early next week.

So grab your sunglasses and stay hydrated—summer is finally making its presence known across the state. Stay cool, Colorado!
