A Muncie man faces arrest following allegations of a sexual assault against a juvenile at his residence, as detailed in court documents.
Martin Rangel-Moreno, 31, faces the following charges:
- Child Molest, a Level 1 Felony
- Child Molest, a Level 4 Felony (three counts)
Muncie Police Department officers responded to a call regarding a sexual assault in the 1400 block of W 10th St. in Muncie. A young female teen reportedly approached the caller seeking assistance. A girl reported being assaulted by the spouse of her mother’s friend.
In the midst of the incident, he inquired of the girl whether this would remain a “secret” between them, and if she would agree to a “pinky promise” to keep the events to herself. A brave girl managed to flee the house and sought help from a neighbour, who promptly contacted the authorities.
During questioning by officials, the young individual provided a detailed account of the decorations in his room.
