26-year-old Killed in Pontiac Drive-By Shooting; Suspect Arrested within Hours

Authorities reported that a man from Oakland County lost his life in a drive-by shooting on Friday afternoon.

A shooting incident occurred shortly after 4 p.m. on Friday, June 13, in the vicinity of Auburn and Russell in Pontiac, as reported by the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities received reports from witnesses indicating that an individual in a grey vehicle discharged multiple rounds before travelling west on Auburn.

A 26-year-old man from Auburn Hills was discovered by paramedics with multiple gunshot wounds affecting his wrist, torso, and back.

A local hospital became the final destination for him, where he succumbed to his injuries.

In a recent investigation, detectives uncovered several shell casings and pinpointed the vehicle linked to the suspect.

Law enforcement officials executed a traffic stop on the vehicle in question at the intersection of Middlebelt and Long Lake in West Bloomfield Township.

A 32-year-old man from Pontiac has been taken into custody just hours after the shooting incident, as reported by the sheriff’s office.

He is currently located at the Oakland County Jail.
