Harris County, TX — A 20-year-old man is behind bars after allegedly stabbing a woman 35 times and dragging her across the ground in a violent assault at a Houston-area apartment complex.
Deputies with Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to a report of a weapons disturbance Sunday afternoon at a complex in the 20500 block of Cypresswood Drive. Witnesses at the scene told authorities they saw a man repeatedly stabbing a woman and dragging her into an apartment unit.
Upon arrival, deputies quickly located the injured woman. Authorities said she had suffered stab wounds to her neck, face, and arms. In total, officials counted 35 stab wounds. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
The suspect, identified as Elijah Glenn, 20, was arrested at the scene. He has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and is currently being held at the Harris County Jail as he awaits a bond hearing.
The motive for the attack remains under investigation.
