The Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office today disclosed the results of an eight-month investigation into a local drug trafficking organization, which resulted in the arrest of ten individuals and the seizure of $1,391,785 in narcotics.
In collaboration with the MCSO Special Operations Unit, FBI, DEA, GBI, GSP, and Lee County Sheriff’s Office, the MCSO Collaborative Intelligence Group conducted an investigation known as “Operation Hades” that resulted in the arrest of drug trafficking leader Archie Zanders and his fellow conspirators.
The drug trafficking operation of Zanders was accountable for the trafficking and distribution of numerous kilograms of marijuana, methamphetamine, and cocaine in Muscogee County, Georgia. Sheriff Greg Countryman of Muscogee County is satisfied with the outcome; however, there is additional work to be completed.
“”The momentum is there. We’re investigating a lot of cases. This is not the last. This is nowhere near, what we’re working on,” said Sherriff Countryman. “We are working on multiple cases with multiple agencies across state lines, within county lines, and outside Muscogee County. That’s why you see the assembly that we have a full stage. We have agencies can that can enter into other jurisdictions and are into other counties in Georgia. So our work is nowhere near finished.”
The Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with other agencies, executed nine search warrants in Muscogee County on Monday, June 9, 2025. The following items were seized as a result of these search warrants:
- 108 pounds of Marijuana, with an estimated street value of $481,810.00
- 20 pounds of Cocaine, with an estimated street value of $895,300.00
- 78 grams of Methamphetamine, with an estimated street value of $7,800.00
- 158 Oxycodone pills, with an estimated street value of $3,950.00
- 117 Ecstasy Pills, with an estimated street value of $2,925
- 11 firearms, including one 9mm Glock modified to operate in a fully automatic capacity
- 6 seized vehicles
- $106,409 in U.S. Currency

The case is currently under investigation by the police, and it is possible that there are additional charges and arrests that are pending.
